Vodacom 1GB and 2GB data special pricing comparison

Strange that 8ta 10GB for R199 was left out of the comparison. This a Vodacom ad?

5 times bad service with 8ta.

Been using their 2+1GB Promo since it got released. The rare outages, but otherwise pretty constant fast (300kb/s+) download speed.

Hell - I'm outta the 2GB as I type, and am using the 1GB ;D

Lasts from about 12:10 to 5:20AM from what I've experienced :p

A price comparison is a comparison "finish en klaar"

8ta = R200.00 = 10Gig = R20.00 per gig.

You are correct. No comparison. :D

8ta's network coverage for the 10Gig promo is still sh*t.

Everyone I know that's on 8ta locks their phones to the MTN network so they actually have signal that doesn't randomly disappear.

Neotel - R99 for 2GB. Pay R399 for the modem up front and you are month to month. No contact.

I am just a little bit sceptical on 8ta. If they use Telkom's customer care or operation systems I am a bit worried. Reasons:
1. Confusion between top management, press-releases and customer care on available products and pricing, as well a T@C (from personal experience)
2. Took about 6 months to get my Telkom number on my name by which time I stopped trying (due to operation system "bug"). Then eventually went to prepaid Telkom which had its own issues
3. Lost my ADSL twice, both cases I had to make calls and had a week+ outage. On mobile networks the problem is always fixed without me having to call, and never more than a few minutes.

But valid comments in regards to pricing and alternatives from different networks. The other side is, with all the networks running there own packages with there own extras a table that might include all R100-R200 options would probably end up being a days read. I have mentioned it before, using a graph might allow better visualisation of where each telco operator is sitting in regards to price - in this case thinking an normal XY plot with price and MB, with the new package points maybe highlighted. RPM, maybe include something like that in future articles?

I'm happy with my 8ta 10GB for R199. Back to Vodacom though - give us these pricing options as ad hoc bundles then we can talk business.

most people i know can at any time of day with 8ta's 10gb deal get over 10mbits/second download speeds... at a fraction of the cost of Vodacoms deal.

So yes this is just another advert posted as a news story on mybb. "vodacoms is the best deal" what rubbish... 8ta's 10gb for R199 is way better than this.
