Cleaning interior ceiling cloth of car - advice?

My car's interior ceiling cloth is getting rather dirty lately and I was wondering if anybody has any advice to clean this?
 
Good question.... interior is leather which cleans so easily, but the ceiling is that cloth stuff.... also got a few smudges on it.
 
I use a foam-in-a-can interior car cleaner that you can get from your nearest supermarket or car accessories dealer, use it to clean carpets, seats - basically anything that needs cleaning.

We, in the old days used to use a white shaving foam, Gillette, spray on and leave for a second or two and brosh off.

Make sure the brush is clean and don't scrub too hard, a nail brush is best. Also make sure it is a white foam.
