Hmmmm, I see the cleansing ceremony included the "brewing of beer..."
I wonder if the brewed beer was consumed as well as part of the ceremony?

Oh, so that's what inferior Chinese engineering is called these days - mermaids.
 
Trouble with "mermaids" was also reported at the major Osborne Dam in eastern Zimbabwe, Nkomo said. Divers with aqualungs where dispatched to investigate the cause of the blockages there, but returned to the surface pledging to never go back down.

Usually, the simplest explanation makes the most sense....

Dams = Barbel/Catfish of a very large size.

There have been reports of sightings of catfish more than a meter long near the Vaal Dam.
Other dams would be similar.
 
Mermaids are topless, you cant confuse that with catfish. I know. I saw the Little Mermaid and I watched Finding Nemo
 
I thought mermaids were hot, with nice bewbs and everything. Why would they be afraid?
 
I have the feeling there's more to this story.

Why wasn't the white divers' response to this recorded? The story just cut off there.

Surely they must have given a reason for not wanting to go back down?
