Well I received this magazine free due to my subscription with NAG :)

I've read a few of the UK editions and it targets the hardcore gamer. With reviews such as the Digital Raptor X, X1900XTX and an article about SLI and Crossfire.

I'm glad to say that it's not a copy and paste job (like PCF SA is) and reccomend this magazine (only R25) for people who like to read about the pinnacle of PC hardware (read: hardware enthusiasts ;) )

i dont buy PC mags anymore.
by the time they are printed they are old new:)
and besides when you have THG and so forth who needs em...
 
yes some of the stuff is old news but it still provides for an interesting read.

Person, I hope to see your Alienware PC's in the magazine soon :D
 
Yeah, I'll look into this one, will they be available at CNA?

PC Format and SA Computer Magazine are now overpriced and will get no love from me.

I like reading the editorials, columns and such, not just the articles, and you cant really curl up before sleepy time with a PC in your bed...

This is too true - the magazines are too slow to the shelves.

How-very-ever, I sometimes buy the magazines purely for the cover disk! Particularly NAG, for the trailers, patches and demos.

Note: My New Years resolution is to not read or refer anybody else to THG ever again. Read Xbitlabs, TechReport, ExtremeTech, or AnandTech - They still make a few mistakes but not NEARLY as bad as THG! Also I recommend get an RSS new aggregator and get all the industry's PC hardware news summarized quickly and consistently right on your desktop.
