The man jailed for murdering seven-year-old Sheldean Human in Pretoria West in 2007 has been killed in prison, a report has said.

Andrew Jordaan, sentenced to an effective 58 years for the murder of Sheldean and the rape of her friend, was serving time in Leeukop Maximum Prison.

According to Eyewitness News, Gauteng Correctional Services Ofentse Morwane said the death was the result of an assault.

He reportedly told EWN that police had been called in and a case was opened against the other inmate.

Sheldean’s murder shocked South Africa in 2007 when her body was found dumped in a stormwater ditch near her home. - IOL

From what I hear child abusers/killers get special treatment inside. Perhaps he got tired of taking it up the poop-shoot and tried to retaliate.
 
Now if only they can get to other child rapist and murderers in there. Seriously though , its a sad day when we all applaud the killing of another person. What have we become. Must admit , I soma feel better though. Maybe I should not see the scum as another person....
 
His rights have been violated. Hopefully there will be a thorough investigation into this :mad:

Imo, as soon as you violate someone else's rights this severely then you lose all your human rights... ALL of them.

I then see you as nothing more than a rabid animal. Rabbit animals should be put out of their misery.

Police confirmed on Monday that they will investigate whether a disagreement over football led to the murder of prison inmate, Andrew Jordaan.

Jordaan was convicted for kidnapping and killing seven-year-old Sheldean Human and was sentenced to 25-years behind bars, five years ago.

Her body was found in a Pretoria stormwater outlet 15 days after she disappeared.

Jordaan was assaulted by a fellow inmate at the Leeuwkop Maximum Prison on Sunday.

The police’s Pinky Tsinyane said a case of murder was opened at the Sandton Police station.

She said officers were aware that the assault was possibly sparked by a disagreement by the soccer teams playing in the Premier League.

“We are trying to establish what exactly caused the fight.”

Correctional Services also launched an investigation, while the Human family said it was still processing the news.
