ICASA.

Hi guys

Has anybody on this forum had any luck with ICASA. I have sent a complaint to them more then a month ago. Yesterday they replied via email and said that they will be liaising with the "Service Provider". Today i got a call from the "Service Provider" which just told me the same BS info they been feeding me for the last 2/3 months. Why did the "Service Provider" phone me again? Isn't ICASA suppose to handle the complaint on my behalf. If i wanted the same BS info i could’ve just phoned the "Service Provider" again.

National Consumers Commission
Anybody had any luck with them. I have sent my complaint to them probably about 10 times already to various email addresses @ the org (since early Jan). Still awaits feedback. I have phoned them numerous times aswel(15min waiting time on every call). Last week Thursday I spoke to a "supervisor" which promised to phone me back because she needs to find my emails. Still waiting on that one. I phoned again this morning, requesting to speak to her and apparently she was in a meeting. The agent took down my contact details and promised me that she (Mrs Biki) will phone me back. Still awaits on that aswel.

I don’t seem to have much faith in these ORg. I have a water tight case which I will win hands down but I just an org to assist me on this. If I had the funds I would’ve consulted a lawyer.

ICASA refers your complaint back to the SP for resolution.

Is the SP a member of an idustry body, perhaps ISPA or WAPA? See if you can figure out another avenue from http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/303983-Consumer-Complaints-A-Guide

Hi.

Thanks for the advice. i have tried all avenues with the Service Provider. Not even the Managers wants to phone me back with regards to my complaint. They let their CSR's phone me. I have checked on ISPA and WAPA and the Service Provider is not a member. The Service Provider is Cell C

Responded to your PM with more detail. Just noting it here in case anyone else needs this information.
ICASA refers the complaint back to the SP to resolve within 14 days and to get back to ICASA. If you're still not happy with the outcome, inform ICASA of that and request that they take it further.
