To Harry Potter, or not to Harry Potter

I was just wondering about all the Harry Potter fans out there - I'm talking about the EXTREME Fans, the fans who buy all the merchandise watch the movies over and over .......

What is going to happen now? Will the fans disappear into nothingness? Or will Warner Brothers just continue selling these Merchandise?

I think for one that WB will relaunch all the movies in 3D.

I think this is something that people will eventually grow out of.
Its hard to see a 25 year swooning over the HP phenomenon.
it will however create a whole new generation of fans which would unlikely eclipse the craze we witnessed a few years ago.
 
Fantacy movies and series will always be popular and will be re-watched at some stage by people who have enjoyed when first released, even if u are not extreme. It depends on your mood and the occasion.
 
Oddly enough, I talked to my daughter about this not so long ago and she made me think about it differently. She is 15 and a huge fan, still watches the movies, has read the books over and again, is a mod on a website forum etc etc etc...

So I asked her isn't she bored with it all yet, and she said she has never known a world without HP and it will always be a part of her life.

I guess for us as adults, it's just another craze and we've seen tons of them come and go, but there is probably something like that in everyones lives that we carry from childhood.

For me, I queued up to see Star Wars on opening day with my Dad and cousin when I was 11 years old in 1977, and the last time I watched it was last Thursday.
 
I will buy the collectors bluray set of all the movies when it comes out. I have all the books. I reread them occasionally.

I am 36.
 
Sinbad, so glad that I'm not the only 30-something that watched / read the HP series. I loved it! Actually, my nieces and nephews are not there yet. They enjoy it, but I guess you had to enjoy the ride to be a true fan. I got an attorney friend hooked on it. She'd always see me reading it and she used to laugh. Till one holiday I got her reading it. She's now an avid fan and when we do HP talk (muggles, etc), the rest of the world think we're crazy, but honestly, it is one of the best reads I've ever had.
 
I'd actually wanna get my hands on some good copies, not buying them, and watch them all again in order.
Liked the movies, never loved them.
The script never grabbed my attention.
Because I found either the special effects too overwhelming, couldn't keep track cos I got sidelined by something else in the movie or because of the idiots I sat and watched it with.

So I'd actually like to sit down on my own for two days and watch them all.
I never got that caught up in them that I wanted to read the books; or couldn't wait for the following release.
They were ok.

LOTR - Now that's a whole other level of appreciation I have right there, for Peter Jackson's masterpiece(s).
