LightSquared's LTE license was revoked in the US due to interference with GPS receivers. The issue is not on LightSquared's side, however, as it seems the GPS receivers listen to transmissions outside their assigned frequencies.

I am curious to know how (if at all) this will affect LTE plans in South Africa? Or are we using a different frequency spectrum?
