Article: Lowest earners have the highest chance to lose their jobs

Employment has increased among higher-income groups in South Africa, while many of the country's lowest earners have lost their jobs, according to a transformation audit released on Wednesday.

"The complexion and character of the labour market had not changed much since 1994, despite many legislative gains for workers' rights," it said.
 
This comes as a surprise to me. I always thought that qualified, highly skilled people were easily replaceable, whereas blue-collar workers were indispensable.
 
If you keep on squeezing the middle class, they cannot employ and support the lower class.

We have a shortage of skilled people and an overload of non skilled. So yeah. If they give you shyte you can fire them and get a new one. Skilled people you get the drama and shyte with and have to smile and wave till you can "buy" a new one. Money. The reason most people will go to a new job..
