Removing sellotape stains from car body

Long story short.

There was a time when my sunroof wouldn't close fully last year and one day it rained and I decided to cover the roof top using refuse bag and sellotape to prevent water from infiltrating my car and causing havoc... it worked :D.

Now thanks to wonderful Webasto people, my sunroof has been fixed and now I just can't seem to remove the stains left after peeling the sellotape around the sunroon. I'm skeptical to use anything that might cause damage to my nice shiny paint :(:confused:

Please help me mense...

Spray it with Mr. Min or Pledge, leave for 30 minutes and wipe off.
 
If Q20 doesnt work, try a decent car polish. If that doesnt work then a rubbing compound.

Are you mad? Acetone is one of the main components of paint thinners! You will damage the paint to such an extent that no amount of polish and buffing will ever remove the damage!
 
The only logical solution would be to cover the rest of the car with sellotape and thus ensure a consistent look.
 
Clearly I have to take some of these advices with a pinch of salt... a slice of lemon... and a shot of tequila ... I think the nail polish remover is my best bet...

I wouldn't take that chance, use a good car polish it will get it off.
 
Nail polish remover may take off the clear coat and the paint. There's a thing called Goo-Gone for removing stickers. Can get it from Game or Makro.
