It's my son's 10th birthday this weekend and he wants to go to the cinema. Are there any good movies playing that he could go watch?

All I find is Tin Tin, A dolphin tale & the Muppets. He doesn't have an interest in any of these.

TinTin was pretty cool actually, he would be surprised. And I think Muppets is decent as well. Tell him to give one of them a try. He just didn't grow up with those characters so he doesn't know them but I enjoyed TinTin more than I thought I would.

I went and watched The Muppets and it's hilarious! (And before you judge me, it was all adults and teenagers in the cinema). It does refer quite a bit to the older movies, and will probably be better if you grew up on the Muppets, but I think there's enough going on for kids to enjoy it. Otherwise I've heard mixed reviews over Tintin... Is Hugo still showing where you are? I've heard it's awesome.

Hugo is only playing in 3D so its a no-no for us. It looks good though. Seems like we'll be watching Tin Tin.

Tin Tin is actually quite hectic. People get killed, quite a bit of violence, only got halfway but it's a kief movie.

Tintin was great, there was a bit of violence but even the Tintin comics have that. The Muppets was one of the best 'kids' flicks I've seen in a while but it could be because I kinda knew the history behind the characters.

If the kids have never heard of the Muppets they may not enjoy it as much I think.
