This is getting really ridiculous now. Where are these servers? In some Frenchman's backyard?!
I'm stuck on the "Authenticating" screen... again...
Pathetic.
I have a brand new GeForce 6600GT GPU that I'd like to test run, and I can't... ugh.

Yeah, its frustrating, you get home from work, ready to take out your fustrations in WSG and you can't.

So while sitting and waiting for the EU servers to comeback up, I had a look at the videos for the game again. There is the "cinematics" button on the logon screen. And weel its really cool to look at it again coz you recognise the characters, and Ironforge in the openeing seen etc. Check it out if you're board, really cool.

heh, definately not.
Now it goes in, but it takes ages to authenticate and handshake and all that nonsense.
These guys have GOT to up their game. The US servers are WAY better and a lot more organised.
Doesn't bode well for EU, I'm afraid.

The US authentication servers also go through the same problems. I have spent 1.5 hours stuck on the authenticating screen before.

Problem is servers get restarted and then you have like a gazillion addicts trying to log at the same time. Fastest finger first eh :p I usually w8 about an hour and then log in no problems.
But I agree, lag and stability issues seem to be the norm these days. Seems to me Blizz are so desparate to get content out, they are not addressing some core bugs in the software. :mad:

Great, I'm getting 5000ms pings tonight. "Come to the EU servers, the pings are MUCH better than the US servers!" Yeh... right...
It just peaked at 6800ms :(
SA people are complaining in guild wars as well tonight about lag. Not hard to guess what is the common factor. It starts with a T.

Heheh, the funny thing is that my browsing is fine... no problems there. *shrug* It seems to have picked up now.

You are tending to forget a couple of factors here.
1. Telkom unshaped account are not truelly unshaped (they are just not shaped as heavily).
2. Telkom accounts are shaped, so if there is a problem, the last thing to suffer from it should be http. First to suffer would thing that run on strange ports like WoW
I did not have lag last night in GW. I use unshaped. Some of the others that complained uses shaped accounts as far as I know.
