Strong Regulation needed in wholesale ADSL market

Lie! Untruth! The complaint never mentioned Telkom's wholesale and retail division.
A quick search through the document (http://mydrive.co.za/uploads/ispa.complaint.jan.2006.pdf) reveals the words "retail" and "wholesale" were not used once in the complaint.

I understand your frustrations regarding deleted posts, but we can not allow personal attacks or accusations not related to the discussions. We have seen how quickly things can spiral out of control, and without moderation this will happen far too often.
If you have complaint regarding moderation etc. please address it in the suggestions and grips forum.

The solution is simple to me:
You are either in the wholesale market or not.
Very simply said: Telkom must close down TelkomInternet.
That will leave the reselling to the resellers.
At present Telkom is abusing its position - when you attempt to order an ADSL line, they are hard selling the ISP portion as well. The monthly Telkom accounts are filled with junk mail selling ISP products. Nobody else has access to this kind of address list.

The only thing that will affect telkom (though nothing affects them)
would be a massive disconnect. But telkom spin doctors would have an answer to this too - so - no solution... all these entrenched monopolies (voda, mtn, C, telkom) - leaves no hope for sa consumer...
All telco companies = 1 monopoly (what it wrong with this equation?) (price fixing, collusion, same capitalistic nonsense... SA companies have yet to wake up to the fact there is a limit to price gouging... after which people just get pissed off (and start building a real hate)... kinekor pop-corn prices come to mind.
