I know its a long shot, but I have 2 400Mhz Pentuim 2's lying around here and would love to make a dual CPU system with them.

Anyone have a dual slot 1 motherboard lying around?

I may be able to source one...

At a long shot - will let you know

I have the following that is up for grabs.

Dual PIII 650mhz (Slot 1)
384 MB Ram
3 x 9GB drives (80 PIN Hotswap SCSI)
1 x 73GB Drive (80 PIN Hotswap 10K SCSI)
1 x 146GB Drive (80 PIN Hotswap 10 K SCSI)
1 x 73GB Drive (60 PIN 10K )
1 x Dell Perc 2/SC RAID Controller
2 x 80 PIN to 60 PIN SCSI converters
CD-Rom drive
Stffi drive
10/100/1000 3Com NIC

AFAIK, you cannot put normal single CPU processors in a dual CPU motherboard. tried it on a PIII800 and it didn't work, so I phone IBM and they told me the processor has to be designed to support dual-cpu motherboard.

Juggy what make is that Stiffy drive... only joking.

what i do want to know is... what make are the HDD's ? The 73's and the 146GB ?

Seagate and Fujitsu I think.

1 x 146GB Seagate Cheetah 80 pin (I think it's actually a 15K drive)
1 x 73GB Seagate Cheetah 80 pin (also 15K I think)
1 x 73GB Fujitsu 60 pin (10K)

supersunbird, if you are really interested then I have an ASUS P2b-DS motherboard here, free, but you pay postage from UK. This is a full atx dual slot1 mobo with onboard scsi and was used in a server I had until quite recently.

PM me and we can work something out

Thanks for the reply Ed, will, hold me thums...

Juggy, that must have cost uber dosh!

Not really, I picked up the server with 1 proc and 5 9GB drives for R550-00 and I had the drives from another auction.

Total cost was around 3K.

I'm trying to sell for R2500-00. I reckon the drives are worth double that.

I would swap it all for a 500GB SATA drive or make an offer if anyone wants the kit or pieces of it.
