Anybody know a good place to watch the Stormers vs Sharks game today other than Newlands Stadium :p

Looking for a place with hopefully a lot of Stormers suupporters and away from Newlands Stadium. Don't feel like dealing with the traffic.

Will the SABC channels show the game later? I can go as my daughter has 2 season tickets (credit card thingy) but she is going with her baby sister.

I must add that when she goes down to the ticket issuing place at Newlands she always bumps into Gio Aplon and Bryan Habana and a few other guys and passes Schalk in the corridors.

I made a mistake of going to Newlands yesterday.

Last time I will ever go there. I have never met such fickle and immature supporters in my entire life.

I was also there and I really did not like the boo'ing...

After the game there was a lot of shouting at shark supporters and some very rude people.

I will be looking to go watch at newlands again soon.

Yep, quite a few words were thrown around at us as well. Is it always like this?

At Loftus, they have an advert that flashes about reporting incidents of racism, crudity, violence, threats, etc by smsing your seat number to the security and they will come and help. A perception of such a problem has previously existed. I say perception because I probably have rose tinted glasses. As a seasoned Loftus attendee, I have never seen or been involved in incidents where I felt uncomfortable (save for the S14 final in 2009 when the security told me to behave) to the point that such an ad would be warranted. THAT SAID, does a similar campaign exist at Newlands? If not, it is something they should consider.

I never feel comfortable going to Ellis Park for these reasons and I don't see why I should be forced to deny my team because the home stadium is intolerant.

I will say this for the Shark Tank: best visitor stadium experience ever! They do not intimidate you because you're a BULLS fan (because, you know, we're tough!) nor are you made to feel unwelcome.

No idea. First time in the stands (the previous two times was box tickets).

Although last time the crowed also boo'ed a lot. I just feel it is not sporting but maybe it is part of Western Province culture, like with the aussie crowds.

Sorry, I disagree. I have been in Loftus where "supporters" have booed during a kick or conversion and the real supporters around them have cautioned them to keep quiet - we don't play like that. Sure, boo a bad decision or dirty play or missed transgressions but do not boo a kick at goal - that's plain bad sportsmanship. And that is what the WP crowd in particular do - they'll boo Steyn when he is converting for the BULLS but cheer him if he wears the green and gold. what tossers!

For some, mostly booing is only part of the game for the people that know little to nothing of the game and go and watch rugby to see how many beers they can drink in 80-90 mins.

I'd rather stay home than boo. Curse, yes. Boo never.

Lol, I am 26, love drinking beer and whiskey and all the other things that come with with party tags, but love good manners and better sportsmanship even more.

You on the other hand sound like the type of person that could have been burning things in the road this morning in Cape Town on Vangaurd drive.... I could be wrong but I doubt it :)

And for those interested, the Stormers cheer leaders are really NOTHING to look at!

"Nice from far, far from nice" :)

All they did was bother me by standing in the way laughing and giggling like idiots!
