South Africa not behind in spectrum issues says ICASA chair

Wait, just because spectrum issues are high on the ITU's agenda.. and ICASA is contemplating spectrum issues as well means they're not far behind?!?!?!

Wahahahahahaha... that is completely bollocks logic if I ever heard it.
 
We eat more donuts, drink more coffee, and go on more pointless overseas trips than the rest of the world. So we way ahead.

Hrm... Perhaps this was understated, but if you look at the rest of the world (whether developed or developing), many are struggling with spectrum-related debates.

In the US, for example, they've run out of spectrum and operators are frustrated with how long the FCC takes to license new bands (sound familiar?)

In SA at least we don't have a shortage of high demand spectrum to license (yet), but we (obviously) have other problems.

Thats the thing though Jan..

We are behind, we're still dealing with spectrum assignments, whereas the rest of the world is grappling with how to do so now that they've run out of spectrum.
