Yep, they usually announce a little while after DigiCape has updated.

*EDIT: Core Group's head of PR, Taryn Hyam, just announced the price cuts on Twitter at Core's "myiStore" APR.

Strange how they reverted to EXACTLY the price they were before the price hike.
 
What is our local price supposed to be..? Wasn't the new price $399?

Think so. $399 * 7.5 (R/$) * 1.14 (VAT) = R3,411.45. R587.55 isn't too much of a premium to pay for someone else to handle importing, duties, and such.
 
Current iPad2 owners looking to flog on the 2nd hand market and upgrade to the new iPad just got their Apple Core'd :p

just sold my 16gb wifi+3g for R5100...paid R5699

I beat the price reduction by 10 days!

i was in a hurry to sell as i knew a price reduction was imminent.

imagine those who bought at R6499 for a wifi+3g, have to take a hit on the price.
