Harmony 600 = R199, 650 = R329, 700 = R449 - One day only

It means is't R199 + R250 = R449 for the 700.

Awesome remotes I own a 600 and 650

Is the 700 as good or better? I would assume its better. But seeing as iv never owned one before, wanna get some feedback before buying.

I think the 700 has a rechargeable battery.

My baby threw my harmony 900 in the loo the other day...

Dont know if I should wait and get another one or get one of these.

The only difference between the 600 and 650 is the color display and the 650 can use icons for your favorite TV/DSTV channels.

Both can control 5 devices, so if TV channel mapping is not your thing get the 600 :)

The 700 can control 6 devices and it can recharge its batteries, other than that it is like the 650.

In my opinion the 600 is the best bang for your buck :D

There have been some negative reviews about the harmony 700, they say that it either locks up, or its very difficult to setup.

do I need to have my gadgets connected to some sort of home *server network* for the remotes to work?

No, they work on infrared, like any normal remote.

I've also seen bad reviews about the Harmony's not working etc, but it's usually by retards/old people who forget that you have to keep it pointed at the equipment until all operations are finished. If no infrared signal gets to the TV, it obviously won't turn on.

Got me a 700, now only for the insane 5-10 working day (:wtf:) wait.

Thanks for this post!

Also got me the 700, its like half price from what Takeitall asks, so even with the shipping, and the fact that I habe ebucks to blow, this is a steal!

fred1, I've bought a few things from them before, no issues. Had a warranty claim on the one thing as well and that was handled fine.

Can they record buttons from other remotes like the DSTV remote?

This is for the 650 at least. Program in your decoder and most of the functionality will be available. Only thing I haven't found is how to access the shift button and how to program macros to hold a button and press others. But yes, it can learn commands from other remotes.
