Molotsane needs balance to steer Telkom into competitive waters

No-ones at fault here! Telkom were just doing what they had to do even though it was a painful journey for them *sniff*. And government is really just looking out for the best interests of the SA people *sniff sniff*.

Telkom + Gov then lived happily ever after and drove away in their Beemers.
 
Love the way they glorify Nxasana, sheez. Its his legacy that we sit with now.

Wish this frikkin tsunami would just hurry up and get here and wipe the lot of them out. :mad:
 
No doubt many excited engineers at BCX who can't wait to get their hands on R30Bn worth of equipment to drive this process... Or is that just a dream?

Molotsane has a huge challenge to face if what he is truly looking for is to compete with anyone new. If he's wanting to increase customer satisfaction to a point where people actually want to stay with Telkom it becomes almost herculean.

Well, good luck to him I suppose. It would be nice if Telkom were to become a model company that we can all appreciate.
 
Telkom went on to reduce its workforce by 6400 people between March 2003 and March 2005. It was no doubt a painful exercise, but necessary to bring Telkom in line with global norms.

so telkom does know about international norm's, when it comes to raising profit margins that is, strange how they never heard about the affordable adsl pretty much everywhere else

Telkom is doing a very good job, for themselves yes, but for the people now that does not exist in their small little world
 
Surprise for Molotsane: Long time since I've heard of somebody wishing to stay with Telkom.

General concensus is that it will be impossible to provide worse service to Joe Soap than Telkom is providing.

As said elsewhere: The only section of Telkom functioning efficiently is the one cutting lines for non-payment!

Whats the bet that it's a 'paid' infomercial, the deputy Editor(who wrote the article) has Telkom shares, or the like.

I think not, else we'd have cheap telecoms already instead of the current lip service we get. Currently they just want to be seen/appear as doing something. We still wait in anticipation of something to come out of all the talks our DoC is now famous for.
