Gold spurs JSE, Telkom tumbles

It couldnt happen to a nicer bunch of ripoff artists, lets hope the trend continues.

Telkom somewhat recovered today to R144.90 from the R143.47 yesterday.

But it was a pretty serious drop from R165 last week to R145 this week. That is like almost 12% in less than a week.

Yeah, but with government holding their hands, Telkom's shares have this amazing elasticity and will no doubt bounce back.
All in the interests of those few well connected elite people that Lyndall eluded to on Carte Blanche.

Everyone knows that Telkom is/was a money making monopoly, and everyone knows that this is going to change. People have just been hanging on to their shares for as long as possible, waiting for the first sign that the party was over so that they could get out quick.

I don't think anyone will buy Telkom for a while now. They may have to do something drastic to win market approval again (like caring about their customers!)

Hope it gets back to R28 again sooner than later. On second thought the b@stards will just increase cost of Telecoms to recover the losses!

Go TELSCUM go, never thought i will ever rejoice seeing a ZAR company going down! Maybe this is only a conspiracy to buy back shares el-cheapo!

I have nothing to do with this nose-dive this time

These exes , if they can not find a cause, they might just want to lay some of the blame on us.

That might be the real reason! :(

Also, remember that they (the company) don't loose dramatically when the share-price drops. The real loosers are the shareholders!

but when the shareholders comprise of some influential heavyweights like, amongst others, Government, Elephant corp, PIC, etc (maybe throw in a few useless DoC pseudo officials indirectly) then one can understand why the share is as close as dammit to bulletproof.
Recovered over 2% of what it lost already.
