Seriously, what is going on with the Republicans. Why are they broaching issues that are just going to alienate the majority of voters. They seem to be shooting themselves in the foot at every turn. First women's reproductive right's - not just abortion mind you, but contraception too. That's pretty much half of America you've just alienated right there. Now porn? Americans love there porn. The fact that it's a multi-billion dollar industry attests to the fact that a lot of Americans watch a lot of porn. Threatening to ban it just alienated all the porn watching voters.

The republicans are losing this election before they even have a candidate. WTF?

Is Obama doing so well on all the real issues that they have to go digging at the bottom of the barrel to find issues?

I don't usually follow American politics but it seems to me that something very weird is going on with the republicans this time round.
 
I think it is safe to say, that this conservative wheel tapper is out the race.
 
It's unfortunate that the only one that makes sense is also the one that no one pays attention to. Ofc the one I talk of is Ron Paul.

The Republicans don't want to address the real issues so they create these controversies that consume all the media attention. Their policies that matter are so terrible for the country that they must avoid them becoming the focal point of their campaign at all costs.
 
Looked him up the other day, what a douche.

I would probably support somewhat censoring and regulating the porn industry in the west, my choices have very little to do with morality though.

Of course that's what contemporary politics is about, moral warfare, not practical solutions to real problems. I can only assume that's the focus because in other spheres, the competing parties are largely in agreement.

This guy wants rape victims to keep their abourtions and ban all porn... definitely trying to go for man of the year.
 
I think Santorum will hang in there a bit, you know, to make Mitt Romney seem less of a freak show for the GOP voters who haven't decided to abstain already.
 
Easy way of assuring Obama has another term as president, make all other options mute. Not that there is any difference between Dem's and Rep's, they all work for wall street, not the American people.

Yes, I get that you're being sarcastic but what's your point? Porn isn't an issue of prosperity it's a question of freedom to make one's own moral choices. Are you suggesting it's desirable to sacrifice freedom for prosperity? Or are you suggesting people shouldn't waste time protecting their freedoms when there are questions of prosperity on the table?

People shouldn't be worried that Santorum is attacking their liberties because he is promoting their prosperity?

What are you actually trying to say with that statement?
 
Watched the video and those two presenters irritate the crap out of me....really.

It's issues they care about. Maybe it's integrity. They won't just say what they think the voters want to hear, in order to get votes, but talk about issues that they are genuinely passionate about - fighting abortion, stopping porn, whatever. Misguided - yes, political suicide - probably, bottom of the barrel - yes, but it's the best they got.

No, I'm sorry, it's not integrity. For one thing these are politicians we're talking about and two this issue is presented as a criticism of Obama. As in: Obama hasn't done anything to enforce the regulation of porn. And, therefore, Obama doesn't care about children and the family. Ok, so both Bushes and probably Regan didn't care about children and the family because they didn't make it their business to go after peoples porn? In fact when last did a Republican president make a big moral issue out of porn? What about the other republican candidates? You could basically accuse anyone who isn't making it a priority to regulate porn of not caring about children or the family.

Santorum may really care about porn. He might even think it's more important than the economy. But, using it to accuse Obama of not caring about children or family is not a display of integrity.
