That kinda sounds like par for the course for Fluke's pricing structure in this country (think Core) :sick:
 
Does this thing actually test if a cable is up to spec (10BASE‑T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE‑T/10GBASE‑T)or is it just a super expensive continuity tester?

Honestly at R8K, I'd just stick with R200 layer 2 switch.
