hahaha, that's the funniest thing I've read all week.
 
Most of them is to lazy do achieve anything thus would like socialism as they think you get everything for free, they are not informed enough to know that would mean IF" there is something to give or receive!
 
LOL!! Whats wrong with Socialism? besides.. Socialism is NOT Communism. Socialism dictates "If you work hard, you will be rewarded", that is the opposite to communism.

You cant tell me that in S.Africa the big corporations are not screwing us over?

Gerry, Can you please elaborate why Socialist and Communist are interchangeable?

Yeah and the big company creates the jobs, Without them you have what is happening in Britain, from huge car maker to huge car importer! Thousand of jobs lost, Why labour wanted everything now they have nothing! Labour became to expensive so companies go to china, India.... all over the world!

as Telkom will put it... its scale of Economies... what will happen when a new Telephone company starts in SA and says, "All call charges are 10cents, and unlimited time on the net" ?

The people will be so happy, and Telkom will "Cry foul".... why will Telkom be crying?! .. 'cos the 20 Shareholders at the top of the pyramid are not gonna get their huge sums of money in divedends any-more.

The MyADSL forum is based on Socialist ideals.... To create awareness that big companys are ripping the average joe off. I am merely pointing out that SA is more socialist than you think... and socialist is ***NOT*** communist.
 
Our company used to have a big factory in Waltloo (Pretoria), had to close it down because the workers would clock in, slip over the wall, and come back to clock out again. Very smart, until you realize that they were pushing up production costs, until it became cheaper to import. They were even upset when they got fired. They also striked every year for bigger salaries.

I would say this is going on everywhere in SA. Workers don't realize what the effect of their actions are.

Wont happen as the GVT is protecting their own interests, Mercedes and traveling scams.

I see rather as opposing blatant corporate, GVT legalised fraud!

Like anything in life there is always a vague! area around any idealistic system. Communism (alla Socialism modified) never worked, never will!

Russia wanted to be socialists where did it end, where are they going now?

Wanted to, but they were almost always Marxists (as were all of the supposed "communist countries" => oxymoron. Communism can never exist while there are still countries IMO).

Anyway thats the problem with you okes, any anti comment made must be right wing, now in this country today that must be left wing, or is it still the right wing if you are for the GVT of the day! ANC used to be the anti GVT Left of the left wing, when to they now become the "right" wing! Goodness knows!

Well at least us lefties are sane and have a grip on reality.

Anybody who still clings to the "Transvaal" and still talks about communism as if PW Botha was still on SABC 1 nightly during the news lecturing to us about the total onslaught and the red menace is a nutjob.

Hello .... the communists are in govt ... they run the country ... jeez people ... move on already !!! :).

and the minister of trade and industry and previous minister in charge of privatisation were card-carrying communist party members

imho a clear indication that govt has adopted the western consensus and co-opted the local communists n the basis of better inside the tent pissing out than outside pissing in

The day before the ANC election victory party was held a LearJet from Brussels landed at JHB international VIP section containing some rather important people from the IMF and the World Bank.

They sat down with the ANC executive and gave them two stark choices for future support .... there is your way and there is our way.

Mysteriously all mention of the "Freedom Charter" which mandated the nationalisation of industry, private property, the banks and the mines and wealth of the country for the people were struck from all mention and policy documents in the ANC.

Think my tale is far fetched ???.
