Hi, i bought 4gb on the afrihost buy 1 get 1 free and thought the data expired in 12 months? I see now i lost 3gb becaue it ended at the end of the month. Does this only apply to buy 1 get 1 free or to all prepaid data now?

No. The normal R39/gig prepaid lasts for one year.
I havn't bought from them for a while but it was always a year when i used to buy, when did they start expiring at the end of the month? Does it only apply to the buy 1 get 1 free? I've never used the buy 1 get 1 free before.

When you bought the top-up, you were forced to check 3 (I think) boxes, one of which was that you understood the date of expiry which would have been presented to you (in bold too, IIRC). It was there that you would have seen that indeed, all top-ups expire at the end of the given month.

If you buy any buy-1-get-1-free special (whether it be 1Gb, 2Gb, 5Gb or 10Gb), then you're presented with three dialog boxes informing you of the expiry date, which is usually at the end of the current month you purchased those specials in.
So if you buy a 2Gb (and get 2Gb's free) and you only used 2.5Gb's then you'll lose 1.5Gb.
Unless you're referring to another Afrihost product...
