Leon attacks Mbeki over Crime

Not the biggest Leon fan, but he has a good point for once. Just wish he wasn't so antagonistic. He might get better results if he takes a page out of the FF+ book

After you have manipulated the stats of course. I know a friend who's had 2 armed robberies outside their house in 4 days (luckily no-one has been hurt).

Minister in the Presidency Essop Pahad even dismissed crime as nothing more than "an ever-handy swart gevaar tactic".

If the PTA Mayor can drive a 1 million rand car @ Tax Payers expenditure then the ANC can surely afford to build Police Stations ...

I really hope you were being sarcastic with "the situation now is a definite offspring of the previous regime".

Whatever, the situation is the result of Government squandering tax payers money and not putting enough into essential services.

w1z4d, to blame it solely on the previous regime is a bit ignorant.. the current government is doing nothing about crime, instead they waste our tax money on trips to the UAE, etc.... Our current govts corruption CANNOT be blamed on the govt that ran this country 12 years ago.

Most of the crime is probably done by all the Zimbabweans/Nigerians we welcome with open arms..

Sure, I think there is quite a bit more the gov can do, but the current situation is the fault of the previous adminstration. And only once the previously poor schools match up to their traditional couterparts, will we see much difference. But that will take a long time

After 12 years, how many do you need, 20, 30, 100 years? Oh I forgot the previous administration was Madiba, Now it is Mbeki. Mmmm. Sorry. Just thought you still blame VAN Ricbeeck for the sh@t caused by the ANC for the last 12 years to today! LOL.

yeah i dont know if you guys have heard of gauteng online, but its a project to install computers in govt schools.. anyway, i heard of a case where the principal sold the 20 pc's and used the money to buy soccer kit.. bit off topic but anyway

point is, its 12 years, the governments done nothing productive or amazing

and now im gonna get flamed but hell they didnt even end apartheid, that was FW.. with a little bit of pressure from the ANC and alot of international pressure

Fixing our crime problem isnt rocket science, sort out the corruption, stop misusing tax money, and properly equip our cops.. oh and ofcourse fire the corrupt cops, not promote them

Ok they might be doing something, but they may as well be doing nothing, because there are no results ???

Maybe cos the ANC is so stubborn and closed minded, they dont listen to anyone outside of their party

They go out of their way to do the opposite of every DA recommendation
 
The fact is that the ANC is not competent to govern this country. They should give the job to the DA or another party that can do it.

I am so sick of everything being blamed on the previous regime. With that attitude this country will not get anywhere. Learn from the past not dwell forever on it.

The Police is in the position it is because of the Government's AA policy. Start facing reality. Giving jobs to people not qualified to do it, is causing all this ****! Will you let a surgeon operate on you if you know he got the job because of AA and not because he went through proper training, university, etc. But it seems this is not needed for Government jobs!
