Samsung taking on Google, Apple in mobile ad space

I really object to the whole concept of a device manufacturer pushing adverts on to a device I have paid for.

How does Samsung intend to get its unsolicited adverts onto Samsung devices, will it involve chewing up mobile/wifi data at the device owner's expense?

Dilberts of the world unite, everyone start creating apps to kill any other apps that try to obtain adverts from Samsung IP addresses.

Custom ROMs are probably going to be a lot more popular if Samsung goes ahead with this $$$ idea.
