Article: Shooting down rocket will be an "act of war": North Korea

North Korea warned it would retaliate against any country that shoots down a rocket it plans to launch this month, saying it would consider it "an act of war."

Whoever "intercepts the satellite or collects its debris will meet immediate, resolute and merciless punishment," the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea warned in a statement carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency late Thursday.

The sooner they bomb that country in to the stone age the better , they are a danger to the whole world

Oxymoron's much?

Jung Jnr & co had better watch their asses. The old co of the Pentagon are looking for reasons to get back at them. But this announcement is simply a political posturing manouver to heighten their (North Korea's) own public that they still have the balls to tell the world kuk. If it's just a sattelite, then no one is going to make a move. The international outcry would weigh heavily on any nation that tried to do such a thing. And by international, I mean China and Iran. Possibly India and Syria.

Surely firing a rocket over another country's airspace is itself an act of war and that country had every right under international law to intercept such a threat?

In 2009 they launched a rocket over Japan. The Japanese didn't intercept it.

N.K looking for attention again. Need more aid to keep the country running no doubt....
