Yet another scumbag Nigerian drug dealer.
I wonder if he will ever get deported? They should have just taken him away in the dead of night !!

Nigerian drug dealer arrested in Midrand
Johannesburg - A Nigerian national wanted for a crime in Belgium was arrested outside Kyalami Estate in Midrand by the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol), police said on Friday.

The 36-year-old was arrested on Thursday outside the estate where he owned two houses, national police spokesperson Colonel Vish Naidoo said.

He was wanted in Belgium for the possession of drugs with a street value of about R1bn.

In September 2008, Belgium custom authorities found 12 shipments of cocaine, which collectively weighed over a ton, at the Zaventem airport.

The cocaine was concealed in chess sets and decorated ostrich eggs, said Naidoo.

The shipment was linked to the Nigerian.

Naidoo said the 36-year-old had already been convicted and sentenced to 10 years in prison in Belgium.

It was not clear how he had escaped from Belgium.

He was expected to appear in the Midrand Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

dude if we had a thread for every nigerian arrested it would become spam.

Dude, I can guarantee you it won't happen that often.

Nigerians are like weasels in the night ... ...

EDIT: ... and the people from Kenya are the nicest people ...

Phew! That was close (quick editing from my part). I almost could have been accused of racism towards all black people.

Try them is Saudi Arabia, the bastards will be beheaded.

Sad to see good guys that actually get trapped into the drug habit, they lose their sense of reality and break down completely.

No big deal. Thankfully someone else will simply step in to ensure a steady supply.

He will be out within the week.

These guys are big mates with senior cops.

I have a mate who is a cop. I know how it works.

Yes, let's send Graham Mackay there. Seems reasonable enough.

But they started out as adults making this choice for themselves right?

Satanboy, I don't think you actually know what goes on behind closed doors in SAPS. So don't comment on something you don't know about.
In SB's defence, this is not true of the entire SAPS hence he is correctly saying that it is an invalid generalisation.

There in the problem. With that kind of money this scum buys immunity!!
The cops invariably exaggerate the value of the haul as they want to look like they're achieving something, but because the drug trade is structured to be resilient to damage taking out even apparently big players has no impact in the real world, and whatever the value of the drugs the money is tied up in the product, so he may or may not have significant cash reserves to use. Unlikely anyone will come to his aid either. Rather someone else will just step in to keep the trade going, which is the most important thing.

... especially in S.A.
Money buys you a good defence in any civilised country.

Remember, these ANC ministers are of the main boys of the historically disadvantaged. They must rectify their wealth deficit, as quickly as possible ... and buy whatever means, legal or not.

This is about the A-Z that anyone can say about the politics of Africa at the moment.
