I'm still dunno the issue - but if it's just that, it's ok I guess. Think if I take it to PCInt and buy a board for them, theyd put my chip in with that paste at a reasonable free?

Yea, the P5QC took DDR2 and DD3 - but DDR3 was expensive back. So if I'm lucky enough to get a new 775, I'll need new RAM too. Seems second hand is tough to find (although there's a P5QC that was listed and sold 3 weeks back on MyBB!)
