New York - There'll be no Guns N' Roses reunion at this weekend's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. Axl Rose says he won't attend and is declining his induction into the hall.

The seminal band is to be inducted in Cleveland on Saturday. There was some hope that the original unit would reunite. It disbanded in acrimony in the 1990s.

But in a letter to the hall released on Wednesday, Rose said he won't be at the ceremony and would "respectfully decline" induction.

He said he has no intention of reuniting with his former bandmates. He also said he did not want to be inducted "in absentia".

The hall didn't immediately return requests for comment.

What a douche! G'n'R fans were waiting MONTHS for their induction since it was first announced, now this. Reminds me of when they cancelled their SA tour. Axl doesn't give a ***** about the fans.
 
Typical yank rubbish anyway. The guy, the band and their music are like a parody of rock n roll. All tight pants, hair and wailing. Cliché 101.

Man, I can't stand this type of stuff.
 
I agree it sucks, but at the end of the day, creating good music has nothing to do with fans and halls of fame.

WTF? Im a GnR fan and I couldn't give a **** whether they're inducted or not. Who cares? It's a bunch of bull**** anyway. Many good musicians don't make it and some pretty **** ones do.

I agree with you that axl is a ****. I just don't think his declining the induction changes anything at all...

You're not their only fan. On the internet and at the induction, which all the other original GnR members attended and performed 4 GnR tracks with Alter Bridge's frontman, the crowds chanted fsck Axl, fsck Axl! It's not about the induction, it's about Axl being an a-hole who cannot put aside his issues for just one single night for the sake of his band's fans.

yeah they're overrated but i do think they're a good band.
