I have a problem hosting games on warcraft 3 server i can host fine and all the other mokeys can join except the guy sitting rite next to me in other words we are behind the same NAT I have tried setting up dynamic ip's with the proper port forwarding for both pc but it did not work i have the router running the connection.Dont like bridge mode to many firewall up dates and so mutch nonsence i dont think the problem is firewall related think it has to do with us being behind the same internet ip and dosent know were to send info i would realy apriciat it if some one could help or just point me in the rite direction google wasent mutch help.

ummm it is impossible to connect to your own game hosted by your own IP addresse with the same addresse... like you cant shake your right hand with your right hand. Try connect in LAN or set up Bridge mode... Either way...

yes thats the same thing has dota ... you can't join the game coz u hosting it. when you play ladder the server is doing the initial hosting ...
 
hahaha, if you ACTUALLY used google, you could have fixed this in a few seconds, but no,

Port Forward: 6112 - 6119 :)

Basically nobody on lan can join a game you create because you both have the same ip. If you get a program to change the one pc's ip or mask it, it should work fine

BRIDGE mode will take care of that. Talen3, do it now! it's better!
 
But we don't want to go bridge mode! what if there are 10 pc's on the network?
there is a simple way to do it. How do internet cafe's get around it
 
I know what your problem is, had it myself setting up port forwarding for friends.

The port forwarding only works when the client comes from the internet on some routers. EG, if you forwarded to a webserver on your network -> The people from the internet will see your website while people on your network will see the router configuration page.

On my linksys354g I don't have these problems, and im not using bridged mode.

I haven't found a sollution for this problem, nor have i tried too hard to find one.
