Hey Friends,
We are currently experiencing a problem with our webhost. They placed a bandwidth restriction on our website.
Obviously, due to the popularity of the OpenWebsite, we have reached this limit.
We have been trying to get hold of our host to no avail. They are not answering their phones, emails or smses.
The problem is, we have our New OpenRouter software server hosted with the same host.
I am currently working on alternatives, but would like to apologise to all users. April was a bad month for OpenWeb / OpenBrowse, and I am the first to admit it.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards
MrBEEP

If you are looking for a reliable host I can make a personal overseas recommendation on guys who we have been using since 1999. They have had 2 major downtimes since then and their support is damn good and really 24/7. PM me for the details.
If you are looking local, I can suggest taking a peak at my sig :)

That must be one of the most expensive webhosts i've seen in a while. They also have linux hosting.

That pricing is annual and not monthly. Tell me of a cheaper provider that allows you to run ISAPI DLL's?

If you are looking local, I can suggest taking a peak at my sig :)Local was too expensive for us so we had to host overseas (Not your link just SA hosting in general). Another problem is that the performance of sites hosted locally is not great for overseas customers.

I hope you come right soon..
You guys do a great job and to be at the mercy of someone else when you are trying to run a business is painful in the extreme...
I wish you the best of luck..
Total downtime: 24 hours so far.
Expected loss: R15000Bloody Telkom. Anywhere else in the world you would be able to host it yourself using a T1 line and would not have to sell your house just to make the first payment.

A good way to get the point across of how Telkom is causing the loss of money to businesses i this country. As ABE said, in the USA, we can host our own servers, and sort out these problems ourselves, minimizing any sort of loss.
