Article: 1 in 4 Joburg drivers asked for a bribe

Great that this is being exposed, I just hope those who were surveyed never paid them.
 
I thought it'd be more. I think there's only one incident where a metro cop didn't ask for a bribe. They are blatant about it unlike other cops who wait for you to offer, the metro ask for it.
 
Sapa issued a correction: "1 in 4 drivers paid a bribe" as opposed to "were asked for a bribe"

Though paying a bribe implies one was asked for, or at the very least, had been a successful transaction.

The rest of the article was unchanged.
 
Always go for the bribe! , The way i see it you either give it to the traffic cop or his boss (corrupt goverment) will take it and waste it, so whatever works out cheaper for you is the way to go!
