If you've used one and had good service, please post their details. I am willing to pay to get away from Discovery, the useless [insert many words I don't day in front of other people here].

What is everyone's experience with Medical Aid brokers?

I decided to visit one because the options available was over-whelming when doing it for the first time. Do they really help you out or do they have their own agenda?

I would like to believe they want to give you the best solution but the broker I visited and the one in the other threads on mybb immediately recommended Resolution Health, whereas everyone else on mybb doesn't really mention Resoltuion Health as their top medical aids.

Broker said they don't get commision at all, only a set monthly fee to manage the customer.

I've been with Discovery for 6 years now. I thought of changing providers not too long back as colleagues and family kept complaining about Discovery. I personally haven't had an issue with Discovery yet. I contacted my broker and the best he could provide me a fraction more than I was paying with Discovery for the same amount of cover. Decided to stick with Discovery.

I used to be with Discovery directly but ended going with a broker instead about 3years ago when my wife got pregnant since the plan we were on wouldn't have covered everything. The broker's evaluated out situation and recommended we move to Medihelp (especially since changing plans through Discovery would have left us with a penalty) and we've been quite happy with Medihelp for the past 3years.

I used 2 other brokers before using the current company. The first guy "closed shop" so I was forced to find someone else, but this guy was somehow always too busy to get hold of.
