Who has IPC capacity in Cape Town?

Hi Guys. As the title suggests which ISP has IPC capacity in Cape Town? We are currently using Afrihost which terminates in JHB. We are looking to improve local latency. Webafrica I know has a presence in Cape Town, any others?

check again... Afrihost/ IS now has local peering in cpt. i get a 10ms ping to WebAfrica newlands server from Afrihost. the other one that has local IPC is Telkomsa.net (other than Mweb)
 
Stay away from WA, their network has gone to crap since they launched uncapped, can't even stream 360p YouTube videos on a 10Mb line.

After buffering for 10 or so minutes now it's gotten to 1 min of a 6 min video.
 
grim there must be a problem with your line/exchange - I have 10mb Webafrica I can stream 720p without any buffering, also was getting 1.02mB/sec last night and D3 beta downloaded in less than 2 hours over the weekend +-7gig.
No complaints my side

Line and exchange is fine, as soon as I switch to another ISP I get my full line speed. This was also confirmed by WA when they were supposedly trying to resolve my problem.

Last night I was also getting 1MB/s, it's during the day that it is a problem as I work from home.
 
grim do you have a home account or business?
maybe its worthwhile going for a business account as you'll get priority during the day.

I don't run a business from home, I alone work remotely to clients that's it. It's not like I'm trying to host my own email or provide internet access to staff. It's for myself, if other ISP's can provide full line speed capped accounts during they day surely WA should be able to as well.

This has only recently become a problem after WA introduced their uncapped accounts, before that I could happily download a torrent at 1MB/s during the day if I so wish to.
 
Please note

It's all good and well looking for an ISP who terminates in Cape Town as well. However you have to also consider the fact that you would probably need an ISP with both presence in Cape Town AND Johannesburg.

I'd highly recommend MWEB for this as they have streamlined IPC links in Cape Town and Johannesburg and openly peer with other ISP's at CINX/JINX.
