Looking for an old-ish series, can't remember the name

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to remember the name of a series I saw on TV about 10 years ago.

I think it was a British comedy and involved aliens of some sort. They appeared human and were dressed in suits, but were somehow related to vegetables. To elaborate, I remember one of them picking up a cabbage or something and calling it by name, distraught that it was uprooted and "dead".

In one episode, one of them was decapitated and they placed his head in some water overnight and he "sprouted" a new body. Again, they appeared to be perfectly normal humans. They also had no sense of monetary value and one of them gave the cashier an insane amount of money or perhaps even gold bars for items like duct tape.

Would be cool to find it online again if I could remember the name.
