Sending emails to newsletter subscribers

We go through an ISP that belongs to SAIX. We have numerous problems sending out mail using saix's SMTP server because if we send more than 200 mails at a time, we start getting mails back telling us the Quota of messaes for that time period has exceeded. This is causing us all sorts of problems, and sending out mails in batches of 200's evey hour is NOT feasible.

How do you people send out your bulk mails? I have tried to send using Saix's DNS directly but that doesn't work. Using their smtp.saix.net as a smarthost only works. (Which is what also causes the problem)

Can anyone help me or suggest something? A DNS that will work or something?
 
You can get pay for smtp servers else just get a cheap hosting package that provides an SMTP service and bomb their server.
 
Can you recommend a pay SMTP server? Can you recommend a host that offers this service?

We go through saol.com and they limit messages to something ridiculous like 25 an hour.
 
You could set up your own mail server on your line (depending on your speed of course) - a static IP with a ptr record and control of your MX records for your domain would really help too.
 
We have a mail server on our network. Our ADSL IP changes every day or so.

Our mail server has 2 options, send through SmartHost, or send directly using DNS.

What settings can I try to get this working properly? If I put smtp.saix.net as smarthost, it rejects 200 messages in an hour. If I try the saix DNS it doesn't work.

If I send the mails directly using our ADSL router, most of the mails come back as blacklisted, i.e the ADSL ip address is blacklisted.
