Or are SABC 1 going to keep her? Different rules for different skin colour?

Not really. If you chastised Leandra and not defended her like you did in the other thread, I'd believe you. Once again it seems you are projecting. You feel that because I chastised this black model too, it came out looking like BS to you. It's hard for you to believe that I don't have preferential treatments to other races. I don't know about headlines but it is trending in SA, so a lot of people are up in arms about it. Maybe someone has called for the HRC? Wasn't meant to be cryptic at all, the idea of unity out of chaos was full of fail and the dreamers don't want to take responsibility for something they pushed for. It's now OUR problem that they had a philosophy that comes out of a fkn walt disney movie, probably scribbled on a napkin stuck to their fridge next to their sociology degree.. a racist word aimed at a white person would not evoke the same level of outrage (except perhaps if there is one that developed for white afrikaans people during the anglo boer war that evokes memories associated with the concentration camps) - the emotional impact of the k-word is completely different from other epithets because it has history embedded in it and represented a concrete abuse and violation of human rights and dignity - a mere pejorative (racist or not) does not evoke the same kind of reaction.

Good.
What an idiot this person is, Leandra makes a racial slur and she thinks that by being racist it will stop racism?
At least Leandra didn't call for genocide. I can actually call this one a bitch
People are just stupid, both of the are idiots.
Well, the ones a real model, other ones a self proclaimed model
Yet the truth remains they are both idiots who have possibly ruined their future big time careers.
TWITTER IS BECOMING THE MOTHER OF ALL RACISM COMMENTS
It was always going to happen. As the internet became more available and easier to access, more and more low-intelligence individuals are posting things on the net and most of them can't comprehend that others can view it and the possible repercussions.
OMG! I hope someone has let News24 know.
Haha, glad someone caught this.

Yup, i cannot think of anything a black person could say to a white person to make them upset hahaha. Calling for genocide though i suppose could do it LOL, so well done to this retard for finding a way to offend the whites :D.
They can be lucky they live in SA, in the UK they send people to jail for racist stuff, i recall that one oke who racially abused that soccer player while he dying on the pitch, that dude got a 50 day sentence and perhaps it's time we implement that.
Calling for genocide should end in jail for sure, leandra should also go to jail :D. A couple jail sentences will shut down racism for good. At least on public platforms anyhow. That black lady who called for genocide cannot be a model though, perhaps the standards are dropping when leandra and this chick become models :D

What a moronic thing to suggest:mad: People are upset by the racist association of the word, not the word in itself.
You all have your panties in a bunch because this model is being racist (correctly so, the upset that is). She does not call for genocide because she is incapable of doing and what do you know about genocide anyway. Gods what is wrong with people here! When people say but how can a "mere" song upset you, you go all up in arms and make wild claims of genocide and then turn around and wonder why a "mere" racist word might upset others so much.
In fact, killa in his post African Tech does admit that a racist term borne of real racism would hurt a white person, but you overlooked that and he too missed the meaning of his own post.

Those are more culturally discriminative though, aren't they? Similar to dutchman.
But yeah, I'm not offended by racist words, it's racism put into action that bothers me.
As part of a larger conversation, I don't get why words offend people at all. Like swear words, for example. Words are just tools to impart meaning, nothing more. I'd be much more bothered if someone seriously told me he wanted to gut me like a fish with a rusty knife than when someone tells me to f(#$ off. Meaning and intent, that's the important part, not the actual sounds.

I think you can just make sweeping statements like that. Whites in this country have never been oppressed like the blacks, Indians etc. So obviously you would expect them to get more offended given the context, especially with a country like ours with such a horrific history.
You would be kidding yourself if you think people can just forget what they experienced under Apartheid and just act as if it didn't happen.
I'm not going to go into the whole youth that didn't experience Apartheid debate but lets be honest there are still people who are racist and most of the time the call outs seem legitimate. Just because you or I don't get offended it doesn't mean that everyone else needs to abide by that. Also all races in this country use the race card. So you're suggesting that people are incapable of seeing the metaphor of the song? But you yourself are incapable of seeing that same metaphor. Who is stupid here?
A pseudo metaphor to be used to cover up the sinister views of the people frequently using the song, knowing the effect it has on certain groups. How do you then explain the outcry about the metaphoric De La Rey song? What is quiet obvious is that Malema made his racist views about whites quiet clear in many other occasions.

Perhaps the lesson learned from this should be one of empathy.
Empathy is the capacity to recognize and share feelings that are being experienced by another sentient or semi-sentient being. Someone may need to have a certain amount of empathy before they are able to feel compassion. The English word was coined in 1909 by E.B. Titchener as an attempt to translate the German word "Einfühlungsvermögen", a new phenomenon explored at the end of 19th century mainly by Theodor Lipps. It was later re-translated into the German language (Germanized) as "Empathie", and is still in use there.

Genocide Watch = "an organisation" (of "repute" to many, let's just call them Negative Nancy's) that acts under the guise of statistics, facts, etc. applying these facts to a country
Twitter = "personal" views, many from dumb air head racists.

Who gave you a better authority about 'white' genocide in South Africa, than a WORLD-wide collaboration and observations organisation?
so there is no call for genocide, even if some person on twitter says "kill all whites" or a political leader calls all whites criminals and racists and "kill the boers", or the president of the country sings a song that the 'liberation' of the country used to get blacks to kill whites, is no call for the death of the whites, because YOU say so?
Ok, thanks, got that cleared out.
So lets then split the two again [i provided link, as you said there is no call for white genocide, yet there are many organisations quite alert and worried about just that]
Lets go back:
According to Die Burger, Tshidi Thamana (@tshiditee) tweeted on Friday: “Dear Mr Peter Mokaba... I wish All White People were killed when you sang ‘KIll The Boer’ we wouldn’t be experiencing @JessicaLeandra’s racism right now.”
Is that not a call for genocide !? Or do you compare what Tshidi has said here, to be of the same magnitude as what Jessica has said?
Then, i tried to see how you can compare this [remember the country wide furor Jessica received !?] situations with:
I just have a question here, how is calling no-one identifiable a k--fer [which, is racist, yes.] the same as calling for white genocide [should this not be more than "just" racism?]
Its a racist term vs calling for the killing of an entire race, but unfortunately, more will happen to you if say the dreaded k-word, than calling for the deaths of +- 4million people.
to which you replied:
There are no calls for white genocide therefore your question is invalid.
Thus me posting the geno-watch links.
Now that i've summed it up again, please answer my question again.

She certainly is not the only one, and I'm not sure why you're reading into it as if you don't know this. Are you the type that says "Only whites can be racist"?
I do not want to spend an entire afternoon explaining the effects of experiences and emotion on one's own feelings leading to their beliefs. The point is it is a personal and isolated case and we are only going to get nasty if we over analyse and blow it out of proportion to the extent it has been. If the media knew the dark thoughts many people may have especially at different times of experience/emotion, think about the picture of the human race that would be being painted. We know it would be total bs though because most humans get along just fine.

The "Kill the boer (whites)" song and the "De la Rey" song. It's a metaphor when [legally] used to commemorate the struggle. It's hate speech when used to hate. There is a difference and my admission that the Twitts and their Tweets are racist and can garner other racists, by default means I agree it's hate speech, and am vehemently against it. The problem to me is is that you cannot seem to separate the two. When you see a crowd different, marching and singing their songs, your upbringing, emotion and influences dictate to you that it is inherently hatred, calls for genocide, etc.
Let me repeat so we are clear on what the real issue is. There are no calls for white genocide, nor is there white genocide. A Tweet from a Twit is no call for genocide, and not comparable to other nonsense-official genocide watch ratings or other nonsense-statistic websites or any other semi realistic suggestions.
And to be crystal clear, I do understand how emotions etc. can lead to different people having various negative and racial thoughts and beliefs.
If you think I am muddying the water though, then you lack empathy for others.

Ok fine if you can legally corkscrew your way into justifying the song, then surely you have to agree that it is inappropriate and insensitive? After all, perception seems to be so important when deciding that a word is evil? It's fine to sing songs that invoke fear based on people's experiences (rationally or not), but it's not fine to use a word that causes hurt based on people's experiences?

In the same light denying their [now legal] right to sing and commemorate their struggle, is also insensitive. To them it could mean undermining their struggle (which to many is not over yet).
Shoot the Boer has been argued in SA's highest court from all sides. All you've left me feeling is unenlightened and that you lack the empathy to differentiate and separate racist Tweets, fear monger suggestions of genocide, and legal political songs. Well then we have an impasse. Immovable object, irresistible force etc.
So there can be no solution, right? Other than for one side to suck it up and suffer in silence?
No middle ground?
Not all struggle songs are as blatantly violent as kill the boer, are they? I'm sure I've heard some pretty uplifting ones too... Why not sing those? They provide a good message for everyone. Insisting on singing the violent ones merely shows what I perceive to be a will to intimidate at a time when this country desperately needs to pull together.

now if you are creative enough you can find websites and groups who are filled with racist twats who do NOTHING but complain about black people. they must be having a field day with the black model and are probably defending the white model to death. they use different mediums, but they are there. there are people who organise white only protests and who go on about how white people must defend themselves, and they all forget one important thing - we're all human.
these are two stupid cows who are a waste of oxygen. you shouldn't be worrying about the number of complaints because all the is suggesting is that you have no faith in black people to use their intelligence. of course black people won't agree with her. of course white people will be offended. but matters of race are idiotic and if we keep obsessing over them then nothing is going to change.

So you're suggesting we just do nothing about racism and it will heal itself ?
That only the white racists must be hauled before the HRC ?

i'm suggesting that obsessing over how many members of each race report someone shouldn't reflect the society we live in. if that is the case then how come only white people end up winning idols?

I don't think the unhappiness is due to only black people only reporting the white model - I'm sure white people also found it offensive enough to take action.
What doesn't gel is that nobody, black or white, apparently took the black racist to task.

They did. Justice Project SA laid a complaint over the weekend. HRC just don't seem to have processed it. Although, JPSA named both models. So maybe that screwed up their search.
