Yes the tv does look crap and you need to find out which mecer branch sells it so you can test it.

Why is is that Mecer and Proline, both South African brand names aint that much cheaper...if at all? A while ago I was looking at prices for laptops etc...and they seemed to be priced very similar to high end brands like HP etc.
