We could not control the governmint with a ballot paper then either and it was not even a democracy. Sigh.

IMHO it is about time whites start receiving some recognition for what they did and are doing for this country.
 
Blacks forget that whites voted in the referendum to continue negotiations with the anc. That they forget.
 
Its time for everyone, of all colors, to move on. Don't forget the past - keep with with you - so that its never repeated, but move on.

South Africa needs to think about the future, not the past.

Instead, as Steve Biko argued, the liberal convictions that were evident in the intervals between elections evaporated in the election years. The efforts of the progressive white South Africans were not significant enough to constitute anything more than a minority. If whites had the vote and they failed to vote apartheid out of power, then Tutu’s statement is perfectly syllogistic.

Uum duh - did the whites not finally vote Apartheid out of power? It was that "small minority" that changed the mindset of the apartheid goons - (and the whole country.)

In the face of growing impatience among young blacks and on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the June 16 Uprising, it seems that the nation needs to take stock. The choices facing this generation are rather obvious.

WTF is he talking about. THEY have been running the country for 12 years - with massive opportunities to create jobs and a future. But they do nothing - except blame the whites - who actually put them in power in the first place. Read my lips - Young blacks and this governement have every opportunity in the world - to date - all they do is play the blame game and go to meetings - while the country crumbles and millions die of AIDS.

A farce and a fiasco. Sick of it.

edit/bikos death tore my heart out - everyday knowing Nelson Mandela was in jail tore my heart out - now these GOONS constantly have something to gripe about - F#cking fix it then - dammit.

Go read up on executions and mass rapes in the camps and various towns in Bosnia during their civil war and hope and pray your family never ever befalls such a gruesome fate.

Go listen/read the testimonies of those who survived and even those who committed the atrocities and you will regret you said these stupid words on this forum.

... and the country still tears my heart out everyday - when I see the poverty and the unemployed, and the corrupt, and the LIARS, and the murders, and the crime. Constant ineptitude, constant delays, constant meetings about FA - preferably in a nice country with good shopping. And the Mugabe fiasco - and the Murders in KwaZulu - and then the lights go out. We really ARE moving forward here - believe it or NOT.

Now that is definitely debatable - maybe we should have a meeting - followed by a colloquium, followed by a review... (that's before we start the whole process all over again - for anybody who may have missed it first time around.) :D

Seriously, though - I am getting sick of what is happening in the country. Apartheid was 12 years ago. I was 13!! And I'm getting blamed (as part of my race) for everything that happens NOW!!

All I can say is that our gubbernment must learn to put the past behind them and work together (everybody) to make things work. All they've done these last 12 years was to constantly blame us white folks for everything - justified or not, instead of realising that the people responsible for apartheid is 3/4 dead from old age by now.

The past happened - deal with it! There's new challenges TODAY - if the white government was so bad, prove it by showing us how it should be done, instead of just sitting on your arse and nagging.
