What is USB3 real world?

I get 25-30mb/sec on USB2 ... Realistic to expect 200?

In my experience I get between 70 and 100 on usb 3. Not what i initially expected, but acceptable I suppose

Are you transferring from and to something that can do 200mb/s?

With my 2TB external drive (ext3 formatted) I get 100MB/s pretty much always when transferring large files via USB 3. SSD & RAM drives rock ;)
It largely depends on what drive you're copying it to, since the write speeds are usually limited to 100MB/s on hard drives.

I often get 100MB/s and slightly above when copying from large capacity SATA3 and 6 drives to USB 3.0 externals.

depends all on the drive. most wont even take advantage of usb3 cause the drive is not fast enough
