Well I am sure you all know about my probs with iburst... but this isnt an iburst bashing thread cuz i promised i wouldnt do those anymore.
I have a couple of questions and answers.
Firstly I stayed home one morning during the week and found my iBurst connection doing remarkably well... around about 50-60KB/s average on telkom speed test. Even international was doing well.
This maintains even during the day even during the week. However at night come dusk the connection starts getting degraded.
I want to ask if you think this might have anything to do with the cold and night time. I know RF signals do weird things at night compared to the day... or am i sucking crap outta my thumb?
I did eventually get a second level support person from Iburst to come to my house to help resolve a couple of issues. He was a great help in determining where to put my antenna for the best results. So kudo's to 2nd level.
I havent done this yet... but will be in the future.
He also informed me that Kyalami Tower is in fact one of Ibursts busiests towers in Gauteng and they are making plans to sort this out.
Thanks Iburst... you have restored faith where i thought i might not ever have again.
