Teacher apologizes for murder essay request

Why the need to apologize? Its a valid request and makes the writer think.

You don't see Stephen King being ostrasized (sp/right word?) for writing horrors...

My school didn't have one, my teacher just giggles nervously and gave me an A :D
 
To be fair, Stephen King hardly ever writes books about how and why he wants to murder people... This was a very, very odd topic for children in a school to write about.
