FYI to Any UUNET clients

Thanks - btw - is it just me or do you find it generally quicker accessing that page from a SAIX account?

I wouldnt like to be in the position of having to rely solely on a uunet account - cant even use skype without a proxy.
 
You'd think a page on their own network would load quickly! Even on a good day uunet crawls.
 
Does this effect Iburst who seem to get most of their bandwidth from UUNET?
Alot also comes from satteltite and some other places so im not shure to what degree Iburst wilmirror UUNETS performance, but do you guys think we feel the impact?

On Iburst right now I am actually experienceing quite a high latency, or higher than usual at least.

We use Verizon DSL (the pay per meg version) and it's very fast. Perhaps it's only the unlimited accounts which are slow?

You're on iBurst? I dont think we share the same bandwidth - which while it's good for you - it sucks for me :(

They seemed to be down again this morning just FYI , lady in support said it was result to a DOS ATTACK..

Went up 20 minutes after
 
Well my data acquisition is chronically slow today - so everything looks to be normal again.
