Samsung Galaxy S3 prices lower than you think

i reckon Cell C or 8ta might have an amazing special to win over customers.

Perhaps FNB might come to the party with something decent.

Lets hope so... And it seems the pebble blue one has also been delayed by 2 to 3 weeks (not sure if it is UK only) according to www.gsmarena.com...

Contract expires tomorrow, so guess I have to wait till 7 June or maybe even a bit longer due to the "blue paint job" issue....

Oh well, more time to save for the allshare cast dongle!

They can make it cheaper cause there will be less legal battles this time round.

Why would you go with FNB instead of getting on an upgrade?

If Vodacom offered the package at R400.00 with 'free' phone or R200.00 with no phone, I'd understand. But they always chage R400.00 and you may as well get the phone with them.

The real proof of the pudding is in the eating.

What these companies are saying doesn't matter. What matters is what the actual price will be. However, with that said, with numerous high quality phones anticipated in the next 6months, Samsung and their retail channels would do well to revise this exhobitantly high price of this good phone.

Price is a serious factor these days in economies are are strained and a lot more conscious about what they spend money on. It has to be the best deal overall, both in terms of the quality of the product and pricing too.

And I'll be happy to take up a Cell C offer right now ;)

Spoke with a person from FNB today and she said if there is enough interest from customers asking for it they will stock it.
Which basically means they dont know when they will stock it.

I've been roped in! This phone is quite slippery

Haha sorry, told myself myself to wait for the other offerings but I went ahead and bought it anyway.

And yeah, for those who don't know, the marble white color is really slippery to hold, it really feels like it will fall easily :(

Ahhhh Lol Congrats man wish you all the best with your new device. So jealous

A Quad core in a cellphone makes no sense. Its a tablet inside with a small phone outside.
It makes more sense than people think. People seem to think they have to max out all their cores in order to get benefit from it. Not the case. Android has lots of background tasks and the more apps you install the more backgrounds tasks. Those apps interrupt the foreground app every seconds or so and more often the more apps you have. The extra cores ensure that the foreground app get interrupted much less if at all creating a much smoother experience. I currently have the single core s1 and notice every interruption aka lag. Yes those interuptions are short and wont max out the 4 cores but they are not there for that purpose. Rather for a smoother lag free experience on a multi threaded device. And beside the quad core on the s3 uses less power than the s2 dual core. So it'sn ot like it will be draining your battery.

Edit:Your comment also reminds of Bill gates 640KB is enough for everyone.
