Still buying new computer, Help Plz

hey i ve got R10000 and i need to buy a pc ive got a case and hard drive, can i plz get some suggestion fo the best AMD system i can get for that amount of money..
 
wow 10k?

do you need monitor, kb, mouse etc?

I would suggest this:

CPU: Opteron 165 or the 170 or the 4400+
Mobo: Brand from ABIT, Asus, DFI or MSI - SLI or not but I find SLI is a waste of money
DVDRW: LG but I woudl go plextor
GPU: 7900gt or a x1900xt if you can afford :P (doubt it tho with that budget)
CASE: whichever takes your fancy
RAM: 1gig of any ram but 2gigs would be nice :D (depends if you overclock but a standard 1gig is more than sufficent if you use it for gaming/work only)
Monitor: a nice 8ms LCD
Mouse: Logitech G5 or a G7 if you like wireless
Keyboard: G15 if you think R500 is justifiable for a kb (but I would jsut take a standard kb)
Sound Card: Audigy x-fi but due to some problems I would stick to the Audigy 2 ZS (NOTE this is not necessary)
Speakers: Logitech z5500 :P
 
R10000 bucks....WOW

dont go msi or dfi...asus or gigabyte....nforce 4 motherboard for about R2500 get SLI for the future
7900gt for R2500
CPU: Opteron 165 or the 170 or the 4400+(this is good) for R2500

1gb ram, mouse, keyboard, LCD(8ms)

the motherboard has onboard...yeah its not as good as the creative but get the bet performance first. get the best sound later..:D
 
You can get my laptop for 10G's. ?? ;)
Wanna get a new one...

For R10 000, I think you must concentrate on the main components, cpu, mb, ram, gfx, sound, then buy the rest with what you have left. You might even be able to fit in a 4ms screen from what's left. I havent latched on to the ms craze for lcd's, havent noticed anything that would justify the reasoning.
Try to keep an eye on the future in your decision though.

kb and mouse would be nice to have, but it wont make your system go faster ;)

true to that mate....id still leaf the sound out. and the LCD....well CTR will do i suppose but most deffenetly the mb, cpu, ram and gfx first, because that is what makes the deff.

7900gt extreme onlz costs R600 more than the 6800gs. WOW!!!
 
Def!! 2GB is the absolute minimum for gaming these days, especially all the cool games!! :D
 
For the future I will go for the new AMD AM2 chipset Nvidia 590 top, 570 midrange Dunno about other suppliers but Rectron have at the moment just the 3000+ and 3200+ cpu's on their stock list. :( The thing is you will get a MB that support up to 16GB ram (with a 64bit OS), DDR2 800 support and a 1000mhz FSB. Or u can wait for Intels Conroe or Core Duo.

*SIGH* ANOTHER ASUS GIGABYTE FANBOY! - can we please get Gigabyte fan boys banned ? Anyone that EVER mention Gigabyte motherboards SUX and knows nothing.

CRIES!! Rectron is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY overpriced and gigabyte fan boys.

For now, don't buy ANYTHING. Wait for the AMD AM2 & Intel Conroe to really hit the market flat. And then buy something. Recommended:

Power Supply: +/-420Watt Active PSU +/- R 1,100.00
Motherboard: DFI nForce 570/590 +/- R 1200-1800
Memory: 2x Low latency DDR2 533 1GB +/- R 1600 (hyper-x)
CPU: AMD AM2 (Intel conroe is faster and cheaper though) +/- Big difference depending on what you want to buy
GFX: XFX 7900 GT From [Ap0c] +/- R 2600
Monitor: Viewsonic 17/19" 2.4ms +/- R 2300 - R 4000 model??
Harddrives: 1x 36Gb Raptor for OS & 300gb (or whatever you want)

But like i said, rather wait for the prices to come down

gigabyte boards are good for office use

not gaming though

If you don't have anything good to say - don't say anything at all. Its one thing saying "DFI is better than GIGABYTE" and absolutely inappropriate the way you said it.

I happen to think Gigabyte is better than DFI, but of course that's my opinion along with Many others, but entirely your prerogative!.

I would recommend to Go hunting between all the brands, look at their specs, find motherboard reviews etc, take your time. When I bought my Gigabyte board – the 8KNXP was the cream of the crop and certainly is worth the good reviews it was given. So was the 8I875Ultra which is the same board without the fancy power goody at the back. If Gigabyte has been met with competition since and there are better boards out there now – then good for whoever else. Whenever I’m ready to upgrade again, I would again spend some time carefully picking the hardware I want according to what professional testers have to say about it.

DFI – with the amount of problems I’ve had with the few DFI Machines I’ve had – They would have to really impress me the day I start looking around for my next board.

Because these Kids sits and debates it all day - doesnt make them ALWAYS right!. If they where always right - we would have heard more about this group, than Tom's Hardware for example - www.zagamers.za.net is but only one side of the story as far as i'm concerned.

*sigh*, funny how the avg age of people in #zagamers are probaly like 25+/- and some of them have top IT Jobs. *kids*.

We debate hardware by producing reviews & testing it ourself - how else do you want to debate something, just by words ? "this is the best - i'm right!" - That doesn't do it for me.

If you buy something ofcourse you first read the reviews, but if you think tomshardware.com is a good place to start, you're a n00b once again since Tomshardware.com favours Intel & MS with their ALWAYS BAISED reviews.

Good place to start is andantech.com and they don't take $$$ backhands like tomshardware for good reviews.
