I purchased a Logitec Z906, and had my PVR connected by simple red/white stereo as I was moving house. Sound was impressive, loud, bassy and surround function working well.
I moved, and connected via digital coax...............the sound became terrible, much quieter, and I could not use the Z906 sound effect options.
I understand that some channels broadcast DD then I would score, but most others don't so it’s a negative, but I was really disappointed with the negative result when connecting the Digital Coax.
What can I do here to optimize ?
As an aside, my xBox is connected via Spdif and works perfectly, could this be decoder related ? It’s a HD PVR, the model where the smartcard sticks half out.
