Cell C announcs 99c call rate to 34 countries

This is pure winning; I saw it on Aki Anastasiou's Twitter feed.

CellC is really starting to lead the way in the mobile space.

And you can choose contracts of 6,12 or 18 months. Guess where I plan to get my next iPhone (assuming they retail them when my Vodacom contract ends!).

Okay, so, this is great Great GREAT news!

But no France, Finland or Netherlands?

Need France here too!
But wow, absolutely wow @ CellC. I'm actually considering porting my number over to them after being with vodacom for over 10 years!

So in a couple of years we will see telecoms companies (MTN, Vodacom) make normal acceptable profits instead of their current super profits.

This is brilliant, way to go CellC ! Put Holland on that list too plz :)

If things keep going the way they are, it will be very hard not to port to CellC when my MTN contract expires next year.

Isn't it splendid when promises of new innovations are actually materialised ? Please keep it up mr Knott-Craig.

The FNB of the cellular world!

Per second billing is still a damn rip though!

Breaking to mould

Could it be that CellC is doing the same thing in the mobile voice sector that Capitec is doing in the banking sector??

I think we need more of that.

But Allen is no fool, he will give with the one hand and take with the other........

I ported to CellC and this 99c thing work well for me so far.

Actually from the wiki link in your search results:

"Holland is a region in the western part of the Netherlands. The term Holland is also frequently used as a pars pro toto to refer to the whole of the Netherlands. This usage is generally accepted but disliked by Dutch people in the other parts of the Netherlands.[1]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holland

;) :D

But anyway, back on topic:

Nicely done Cell C!
