Bwahaahaaa - Since when did anybody ever die of a cocaine overdose??! They/we/the human race has been using cocaine for centuries - and never once has somebody died. But now all of a sudden - tk dies from 'traces' (hardly any) in her bloodstream. More inept investigation, more cluelessness, more cover up of incompetence - more bad press for drugs - but plain fact - nobody has ever died of cocaine - or smoking dope for that matter. Stupid people!

And before anybody rises up - I'll say that drugs like 'crack' (cocaine based) - are not the same cocaine that Sigmund Freud used for instance - (or what tk would have been stuffing up her nose.)

Disinformation for the masses - seems pretty much where we are.

Where Zippo? Point at one case of death to cocaine overdose. If what you say it true - then Bolivia and the rest of South America wouldn't have a population. You may die from a heart attack - from too much effort under cocaine - but cocaine itself will never cause your death. And 'traces' - not. There would have to be overwhelming evidence of overdose - but there's not - traces. Pleeaze.

you have 2 much - ur body cant handle it, especially ur heart...

No - mooK - not to my knowledge. And fact: medical textbooks, in-depth research: you may die from the side-effects, too much exertion, not eating, not paying attention - but not the actual effects of cocaine. In other words - if you didn't assume you were superman then not. Maybe high speed accident - due to omnipotence - but not an overdose per se.

/edit/and for context we are talking 'traces' - according to the official report. Massive overdose beyond human capability perhaps - otherwise not. And massive overdose should be shown - not traces. More likely to suffer some other side-effect - heart palpitations whatever - but all in the mind - not due to cocaine per se.

You have to be pretty stupid to die of a cocaine OD and unless you have a serious heart condition traces wnt kill you.

Thanks Gunny. But now the rest of the SA population thinks - Ah, cocaine is a killer. Scourge of the world. Yeah right. Wish they would acknowledge the real scourge. And more ineptness from gub and police force - obviously doing their jobs - not!!! More disinformation. More intrusion. Because TK died of a cocaine overdose - only traces mind - but she died. Never mind the real killers - or what is really going on. More sweets to the masses - unthinking bunch that they are.

1. When they say that "traces" are found in the blood, they generally are indicating that the metabolites (sp?) are what is found. i.e. they can say that cocaine was used because of the quantity of norcocaine, benzoylecgonine, norbenzoylecgonine, ecgonine methylester, cocaethylene, and the o-, m-, and p-hydroxy derivatives of cocaine and benzoylecgonine found in the blood.

2. All deaths which are said to be caused by overdose are caused by one thing: lack of oxygen to the brain - much the same as every single death really. The fact that someone had a heart attack because they were freebasing with cocaine which caused their heart to lose rhythm and stop pumping correctly, which in turn stopped blood flowing to the lungs and to the major organs (including the brain), which in turn led to the brain dying, means that we could probably safely say that the death was caused by an overdose.
 
TK like many people using drugs was just plain stupid ... there is always a choice and help available.

Kilo, regardless of the technicalities: Cocaine is evil. It changes your personality and makes you only likeable by others under the spell of it. Normal people think you are an idiot. You think you are super cool. Whos actually correct?

Sounds like you are defending cocaine but I hope you arent. Also remember cocaine as people buy it is not pure and can contain anything to bulk it up (like rat poison) thus making the dealers and suppliers richer, the people taking it poorer and dumber and the rest of us footing the bill.

Based on his earlier post logic, another thing that doesn't kill people is bullets - hell the blood loss from a gunshot might kill you, but not bullets themselves.
 
A trace wont kill you - obviously

and even if you dont have a heart condition, there is always a possibility of dieing from heart-related problems...

i realise that you are sticking up for the drug and thats your problem really, there is a choice but if u choose 2 take it, ur blady stupid and thank u arf for sticking up 4 me

Actually crack IS the real thing- i.e. the unadulterated drug. The cocaine that you sniff is a soluble hydrochloride salt of the drug.

CRACK = COCAINE.
