hi guys , was doing some investigations and need your help with online or cloud backups,

OK so we all know of drop box,Google drive, skydive etc.
what i am looking for a company or solution provider that offers a paid service in terms of Backing up online, not cloud storage like mentioned above.

is there anyone that provides this paid for service in South Africa , and is there packages with SLA etc,

obviously this has to be a reliable and strongly backed service as backing up a company s data is a issue in terms of high availability , security , reliability and speed.

if you guys know any any Service providers in our market please let me know.:)
i don't know if i am the first to bring up this topic but i didn't find any paid for service provider or topic on this in the forum.

Thanks in Advance

MWeb offer that, as do Cipherwave, and there's a bunch of others - just search on Google.

We do offer a product in this line, called MyBackups. You can check it out on our website:-

Dropbox etc are cloud storage solutions, not backup solutions. To backup the latest version of a file you need to remove the existing file and copy the new file accross as a whole....

A backup solution performs a check at a set time and backs up only the changes to a file at bit level. So instead of transferring a 1GB file, you only transfer the changes which is generally 1/4 of the total size of the file which is a lot better when your backing up sites with over 200 clients each. Take a look at a company called IronTree, their solution is on of the best out there
